Team Taxand returned to the pitch this summer for another edition of the TwoBirds Cup, this year hosted in Munich, and bringing together colleagues from across our global network for a day of competitive football.
Having taken part in Düsseldorf last year, the team representing Taxand was eager to return for this year’s edition of the Cup, a football tournament for law firms featuring 20 competing teams.
Representing Team Taxand, Petar Kadovic and Nikola Draca (LeitnerLeitner Serbia), Patrick Brünner (LeitnerLeitner Austria) and Endrit Baftija, Benjamin Graßl, Tomke Zeeh, Simon Schrotz, Fabian Miehlich and Tim Zinowsky (all Flick Gocke Schaumburg, Germany) took to the pitch.
Despite the scorching summer temperatures, our players gave their all for the team in every match. Our goalkeeper Tomke Zeeh played a key role in our strong group-stage performance, keeping a clean sheet with a series of outstanding saves and providing the team with crucial support at the back. As a result, we finished top of our group without conceding a single goal. Unfortunately, our tournament came to an end in the quarterfinals against the tournament winners Grünecker.
While the exciting matches were certainly a highlight, the tournament was equally about team spirit and building valuable new connections with colleagues from across Taxand member firms.
Congratulations to the team at Flick Gocke Schaumburg for organising this sporting Taxand initiative and thank you to Knežević Jelena (LeitnerLeitner Serbia) and Clemens Nowotny (LeitnerLeitner Austria), whose support made it possible for their colleagues to travel to Munich and be part of Team Taxand!
