On May 10 the European Commission published the non confidential version of its decision to open a state aid investigation into whether tax rulings granted by the Luxembourg tax authorities to food packaging company Huhtamäki may have entailed illegal state aid. The commission’s decision, first announced on March 7, found that Luxembourg granted a selective advantage to Huhtamäki by accepting a downward adjustment in advantages shifted to a Luxembourg group company.
