Experts from LeitnerLeitner, CRIDO and Flick Gocke Schaumburg, our tax member firms in Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Serbia Slovenia, Poland, Germany; are hosting two region-specific sessions, discussing the labour taxation across CEE and Adria.

A salary figure tells only part of the story. Across CEE and Adria, the same annual gross remuneration can translate into significantly different net pay for the employee – and a very different total cost for the employer.

The gap between what the employer pays and what the employee receives – the tax wedge – differs considerably from one country to the next, and the differences increase as salaries rise. For compensation planning, mobility decisions and 2027 workforce budgets, the country of employment is therefore as relevant as the salary level itself.

In the two regional sessions, tax experts will put the numbers side by side and explain what drives them: income tax rates, mandatory social security, contribution caps and country-specific exemptions. Attendees will also hear about the latest developments for 2026 and what employers should prepare for, from remuneration design and employee benefits to termination payments.

The webinars will be hosted on Tuesday, 22 September at 9.00 – 10.15 am CET, and Adria on Tuesday, 29 September at 9.00 – 10.15 am CET.
