Ignacio is based in Taxand Colombia, which is Gómez-Pinzón. His professional career, which began in 2000, is focused mainly on consultancy and tax planning. Within Gómez-Pinzón, Ignacio co-leads the practices of Transaction Tax, International Tax and Compensation & Benefits. He has also held senior positions within KPMG and Ernst & Young.
Ignacio has broad experience in matters related to taxation of commercial and financial operations, mainly those related with: (i) structuring compensation plans for individuals; (ii) structuring commercial agreements and, in general, investment projects; (iii) business reorganisations; (iv) project finance; (v) portfolio investments; (vi) private equity funds; (vii) trust agreements; and (viii) derivatives transactions.
Ignacio is bilingual in English, lawyer of Los Andes University in Bogotá-Colombia and specialised in Tax and Commercial Law from the same university.
