Biography

Renáta Bláhová started her professional carrier in 1995 in the audit department of Arthur Andersen in Bratislava, Slovakia. In 1996, she became founding partner of the newly established advisory firm BMB Partners. By 2002, BMB Partners ranked among top five tax advisory companies in the country.

Renáta has 30 years of experience in tax and accounting law, specialising in Slovak and international tax law, audits, M&A, tax and financial due diligence, tax and accounting-related litigation and transfer pricing.
She graduated from the Slovak University of Technology, studied at Southeastern Louisiana University in the United States (MBA) and at Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (LL.M. in international tax law). Besides holding Slovak licences for auditing and tax advisory, Renáta is also a certified FCCA accountant (UK).

Renáta regularly publishes articles and commentaries on the latest tax law developments in professional literature, is co-author of a number of tax law books for professionals and is often invited to speak at both local and international conferences, seminars and workshops.

Renata is partner at BMB Partners TAXAND, President of the Slovak branch of the International Fiscal Association (since its establishment in 2007), member of the Advisory Committee at the Slovak-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and chair of the working group Law and Taxes at the Slovak-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In 2020, she was appointed advisor to the Slovak Minister of Finance, and between 2021 and 2024 she held the function of the Chair of the Slovak Health Care Surveillance Authority.

Besides her mother tongue, Renáta is fluent in German and English.
