Biography

Ashraf Ramtoola is the Director of Tax and Insolvency Services at IQ-EQ Mauritius and is also director of several companies including collective investment schemes. Ashraf has over 35 years’ experience in Accounting, Auditing, Taxation and Value Added Tax.  He started his career in an audit firm in 1981 in Mauritius where he gained an all-round experience in auditing and taxation. He then moved to the UK where he enhanced his experience in the field.

Back to Mauritius in 1992, he joined International Management (Mauritius) Ltd, now IQ-EQ Mauritius, and was responsible for the company’s and clients’ accounts, company secretarial matters and marketing. He was appointed director in 1996 and in order to maintain an exclusive focus on servicing clients, he took the position of Senior Manager in September 2010.

Ashraf became a Fellow of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1993 and was licensed as an Insolvency Practitioner in January 2018.
