Launching the Taxand Customs Community

Customs and international trade issues are becoming increasingly strategic for our clients. From tariffs and supply chain disruption to CBAM, EUDR, export controls and trade defence measures, businesses are looking for practical, cross-border advice that goes beyond compliance.

Recently, customs specialists from across the network met to discuss how we can build a stronger and more visible customs offering together. The discussion confirmed that Taxand already has significant expertise across:

  • Customs advisory and litigation
  • Customs valuation and classification
  • CBAM and EUDR
  • Excise duties
  • Export controls and trade compliance
  • Anti-dumping and trade defence
  • Customs audits and disputes
  • Customs and transfer pricing interactions

What’s Coming Next?

The group has agreed to focus on a number of practical, client-facing initiatives:

✅ Taxand Customs flyer highlighting our capabilities across jurisdictions
✅ Dedicated customs section in upcoming Indirect Tax newsletters
✅ Webinars and thought leadership on key customs and trade developments
✅ Greater knowledge sharing across member firms

Customs at the next Taxand Indirect Tax Conference

The community will also have a strong presence at the Taxand Indirect Tax Conference in Paris on 6 November 2026, where customs topics will feature as part of the programme, including discussions around e-commerce and platforms.

Looking for a Taxand Customs contact?

The Customs Community is now live on Taxand Hub and is designed to help Taxanders quickly identify the right customs specialist across the network.

Visit the community here:

  • Find customs contacts by country
  • Review colleagues’ profiles and specialisms
  • Identify experts for client opportunities and referrals
  • Stay informed about upcoming customs initiatives

The more complete our profiles, the stronger and more useful the community will become. We encourage all customs practitioners to update their profile details and join the conversation as we continue to build Taxand’s customs offering together.
