Martijn Jaegers – Partner Indirect Tax @ Borgen Tax

Martijn specializes in indirect taxes for over 25 years and focuses primarily on advising on VAT, both on a national and international level. He provides guidance to clients on the risks and opportunities presented by European VAT law and regulations. His clients operate in various industries, including financial services, business services, industry and wholesale trade. His responsibilities go beyond providing tax advice and assisting with its implementation, as he also engages in tax audits and represents clients in legal proceedings, among others in the field of fund management and payment processing.

Martijn is an attorney-at-law and, as such, a member of the Dutch Bar Association. In the practice areas register of the Dutch Bar Association, he is registered in the main (and sub) practice area: Tax Law. He is also a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers and the Association of Tax Science. Prior to joining Taxand in 2014, Martijn gained over 15 years’ experience in international indirect taxation within Andersen/Deloitte and Baker & McKenzie.
