Taxand Wins Latin America Tax Disputes Firm of the Year
Taxand has won 'Latin America Tax Disputes Firm of the Year' at International Tax Review's fifth annual Americas Tax Awards.
The award recognises Taxand's litigation excellence across Latin America including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. It is the first time Taxand has received this accolade demonstrating Taxand's growing market recognition in this region.
Taxand's litigation service line advised on a number of strategic and complex tax dispute cases, providing end-to-end advocacy and support for multinationals through the challenges of tax audits and controversies; working with tax authorities to defend the position of multinationals before the courts of many countries.
Furthermore, Taxand Argentina won Latin America Tax Restructuring Firm of the Year and Taxand Venezuela won 'Venezeula Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year', both for the first time. Taxand was nominated for some 28 awards in total, including 4 regional awards, an increase on the 12 short listings received last year.
All the awards are determined following in-depth research by ITR's editorial team into the perspectives of tax executives, in-house counsel, tax advisors and private-practice lawyers operating in the region. Taxand is present in all 14 jurisdictions of the Americas and US metropolitan areas covered by ITR, demonstrating the scale of the organisation and its pan-Americas capabilities.
Frederic Donnedieu, Chairman of Taxand, said:
"Winning Latin America Tax Disputes Firm of the Year is testament to the quality of our tax litigation advice in the Americas. The award recognises the ability and experience of our advisors in providing strategically sound advice and advocacy when dealing with tax issues.
"We are delighted with our continued recognition at these awards, which confirms the breadth of our competency in tax advice across the region."
