Taxand announces today that the German tax law and advisory firm Flick Gocke Schaumburg will be joining the organisation as Taxand’s member for Germany. We are tremendously pleased that Flick Gocke Schaumburg will be joining us and we look forward to working closely with the team in the future.
At the same time Taxand can confirm today that its current German member firm, Luther, will be leaving the organisation. Luther has advised its preference to be part of a broader legal network, rather than one focused solely on tax, as is the case for Taxand. The Board of Taxand and its members want to take this opportunity to thank our colleagues at Luther for their tremendous contribution over the years and to wish its partners, lawyers and staff the best in their futures.
Taxand further announces today the recent appointment of new members to its global Board. These appointments will strengthen the geographic diversity of our Board and further our development as the world’s largest global organisation of tax advisors to multinational businesses.
Taxand recognises that global economic market dynamics are evolving and that multinational companies are facing dramatic changes to the international tax system and levels of tax transparency, as tax authorities increasingly share information. A truly diverse Board, representing strategic regions and economies, is required to meet this changing tax landscape.
