A New Glocal (Global + Local) Approach to International Tax Advice

A New Glocal (Global + Local) Approach to International Tax Advice
23 Jan 2012

In an increasingly global economy where the operations of large companies span multiple jurisdictions, the Tax Director's charge of obtaining expert, local tax advice is a cumbersome one.

Whilst the development of information technology has increased the ability to receive information from across the globe rapidly, the conference call and blackberry revolution has reduced invaluable face-time, imperative for the provision of truly innovative and bespoke advice.

Taxand, the world's largest global organisation of tax advisors to multinational businesses, today announces the launch of Taxand Access, a new initiative to deliver seamless international services to clients by offering bespoke advice from the best person, in person.

Through the initiative, Taxand clients will have regular access to international partners from a range of Taxand jurisdictions to discuss any tax issue that relates to the advisor's locality. This means, for example, that a client in New York with tax issues in France will have the ability to arrange a regular face-to-face meeting in their NY office with a French Taxander, a client in Shanghai can sit down with a Taxander from Spain and a client in New Delhi will have direct access to a Taxander from the UK.

Frederic Donnedieu de Vabres, Chairman of Taxand, commented:

"Taxand Access is an innovative way to provide a first class service for our clients and leverage the skills of our advisors internationally.

"There is no doubt that face-to-face meetings are the best way to do business. Taxand Access will reach beyond standard desk or exchange programmes giving our clients regular face-time with truly local experts.

"We are confident this new service will prove a valuable asset to our multinational clients across the globe."

Taxand Access is initially available for clients based in New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Shanghai and New Delhi. To find out more about Taxand Access please visit or email
