Common tax base at the core of corporate tax crackdown

The European Commission launched its much anticopated Action Plan on Corporate Taxation, basing it on the idea of a Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base as a solution to tax reform.

In reaction to the Commision's plan, Tim Wach says: "As with a number of plans to increase harmonisation in tax policy, the CCTB is fraught with political complexities and difficulties in implementation."
