Albert Liguori is based in Taxand USA where he is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, LLC. With 18 years of international tax and accounting experience, Albert assists multinational organizations to assess and improve their global tax profiles and functionality. Albert leads a New York-based international tax team that supports clients on cross-border transactions to advance corporate tax efficiencies, including accounting for income taxes.

Albert's recent experiences include serving as the interim head of tax of a $3 billion global financial services company and leading all tax aspects of a multi-billion dollar IPO. He recently redesigned the supply chain function for a $1.5 billion global manufacturer, and he has also structured the acquisitions of various U.S. and foreign businesses. Albert is frequently involved in helping companies to respond to tax demands from boards of directors and shareholders, as well as in fostering cross-functional communication between tax, operations, finance and treasury teams. He has worked closely with CEOs, CFOs and private equity investors. Currently, Albert is counseling clients on how to manage cash tax obligations and evaluate the impact of various legislative changes.

Prior to joining the USA Taxand practice, Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, LLC, Albert was a core member of the global tax strategy team of Deloitte Tax LLP, serving as lead adviser on multiple global client transactions. He began his career with Price Waterhouse in New York, where he assisted many companies with initial public offerings.

Albert received a juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School. He is a member of the New York State Bar and a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York. From 1999 through 2003, Albert served as an adjunct professor for the Master of Science in Taxation program at Fordham University. Albert serves as a national speaker, and has written articles and provided comments on proposed regulations and other topics related to corporate and international taxation.
