Rafael Nebreda is based in Taxand Spain where he has been a partner of Garrigues since 1991. He joined the Audit Department of Arthur Andersen in 1979 before moving to the Tax and Legal Advisory Services Department two years later. Between 1984 and 1988, Rafael was the manager in charge of the tax and legal practice of Arthur Andersen Asesores Legales y Tributarios (today Spain's Taxand practice, Garrigues) in Guipúzcoa. Rafael is an expert advisor on tax planning and the taxation of high net worth individuals, as well as Family Business consulting. He coordinates advisory and consulting services for major family groups in the industrial and service sectors. Rafael is Non Director Secretary of the managing body and Family Company Board at various companies and Family Company Groups, respectively and is a member of the advisory committee of various Family Groups. He has taught a great many courses and seminars on tax and legal practice matters organised by public and private sector entities. He is also a regular speaker at conferences and is particularly sought to deliver speeches on Family Succession Plans. He has published a range of articles on tax and family business matters in the specialist trade press.
