Javier is a partner of Garrigues and in charge of the tax department of Garrigues' office in San Sebastián (covering the area of Guipúzcoa and Navarra).

He has 19 years of experience in providing tax advice to companies across a range of industries and his clients include listed companies, family businesses and cooperative entities. He is an expert in provincial rules and laws and is involved in all aspects of corporate tax advice including M&A, company reorganisations and restructurings and company acquisitions.

Javier has achieved a law degree from the University of the Basque Country in 1988, completed the advanced course in cooperative and social economy law (University of the Basque Country) and has an MBA, majoring in finance, from the University of Deusto. He is also a member of the Guipúzcoa Bar Association.
