Ramón is based in Taxand Spain where he is a partner at Garrigues, Madrid. A tax specialist for around 20 years, Ramón originally joined Andersen Tax and Legal where he was a member of the European Tax Think Tank. He currently coordinates Garrigues’ multidisciplinary “Banks and Savings Banks” Group, with responsibility for coordinating professionals drawn from across all of the legal practices specialising in FSI advisory services. During his professional career, Ramón has been exclusively devoted to tax and financial advisory in favor of financial institutions (banks, stock market and insurance companies) and multinational companies, being a specialist in the fiscal analysis and development of new domestic and cross-border financial products.  Ramón provides services including the tax advisory of (i) private equity and mutual and hedge funds (ii) banks, insurance companies, broker-dealers and asset management companies (iii) structured finance products (stock loans, preferred shares, profit participating instruments, convertibles, swaps and advice on complex financing structures) and multinational groups in various sectors (e.g. industrial, shipping, advertising, beverages).His teaching experience is also wide in several Seminars and Universities where he normally presents in English. He has a Law degree and also a Business Degree from  ICADE. Ramón is a member of the Madrid Bar Association since 1993 and represents Garrigues at the cluster “Madrid Financial Centre” (Madrid Centro Financiero).
