Gerhard is based in Taxand South Africa where he is an executive at ENS (Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs) and has 20 years experience. Gerhard specialises in indirect tax practice, with a focus on advising clients on VAT (Value Added Tax) matters in various industries, as well as on financial services, mining and property transactions. Gerhard has acted for various private and public corporations.
Gerhard has held lectures on VAT at a number of universities. Gerhard is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), the SAICA VAT sub-committee, and serves on the technical committee of the South African Institute for Tax Practitioners.
