Per Harg is based in Taxand Norway where he is an attorney-at-law with Advokatfirmaet Selmer DA, joining in 2004. A Candidate in Jurisprudence from the University of Oslo (1971), Per worked as executive officer with the Directorate of Taxes (1971-1973) and the Oslo office of the Inspector of Taxes (1974-1978), as tax consultant to AS Norske Shell (1978-1998 - heading the Tax Division from 1987), and as an attorney with Ernst & Young AS (1998-2004).

Per has extensive experience from tax issues relating to the petroleum industry and also from transfer pricing, M&As and various other issues relating to transactions and major reorganisations. In addition to general counselling to the petroleum industry, Per specializes in changes to the petroleum companies’ portfolios, including all aspects of approval of transfer of licence shares according to Section 10 of the Petroleum Activities Act. Per has actively participated in specialist environments related to petroleum taxation and on various occasions lectured on legal issues related to petroleum taxation.

Per speaks Norwegian and English.
