Beng Hoe Kang is based in Taxand Malaysia where he is the Executive Director at Taxand Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. His professional career in taxation spans some 40 years, a large part of which was as head of the tax practice of a leading international accounting firm. Beng has widespread experience gained from servicing a cross-section of clients, which includes major Malaysian and multinational companies, banks and insurance companies, government and quasi-government organisations. His expertise extends to all aspects of corporate tax planning and advisory work, including implementation of business strategies and corporate restructuring. In recent years, Beng’s particular focus has been in the area of financial services. He was actively involved in advising on tax legislative aspects of the property trust and mutual fund industry. He also took an active part in the promotion of Malaysia’s International Offshore Financial Centre, Labuan. Beng sits on the board of a listed company and is the Convenor of the Taxation Committee of the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
