Thang Mee Lee is based in Taxand Malaysia where she is with Taxand Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. Mee Lee has over 17 years of experience with leading tax practices of international accounting firms, as well as significant experience in a engagements relating to all aspects of corporate and personal tax matters, including advising on tax structures for out-bound and in-bound investments, corporate restructuring exercises together with financing schemes, tax incentives and effective employee remuneration packages for a wide range of multinational entities as well as local enterprises. Mee Lee also has considerable expertise with respect to the oil and gas industry and petroleum income tax. In addition, she has significant experience dealing with the Ministry of Finance in advising on and structuring of tax incentives for one of Malaysia’s new economic zones. She is also responsible for advising on tax issues related to human capital including share plan structuring. Mee Lee graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) degree. She is a member of the MICPA and the CTIM.
