Sujit Ghosh is based in Taxand India where he is a Partner of BMR Advisors, India's leading independent firm of tax advisors. He has more than 12 years of experience, with specialisation in VAT and service tax. Sujit has been a senior member at Big 4 firms and has substantial experience advising companies-domestic and multinational-in the areas of VAT, sales tax, works contract tax, service tax, customs laws, excise and other areas of indirect tax. Sujit's advising experience spans structuring and optimising national supply chains, indirect tax issues arising from greenfield operations-including business model planning, procurement, distribution, marketing and after-market-related matters and pricing-and structuring complex engineering and procurement contracting arrangements.

Sujit is also extensively involved in providing strategic advice to service providers on an array of issues concerning service tax, service tax credits, rebates and other related topics, including litigation management. He advises various companies in identifying suitable locations to set up manufacturing facilities and retail structures in keeping with tax saving opportunities, specifically in the areas of sales tax and excise duty. He assists multinational corporations in structuring EPC contracts, complying with various indirect tax laws, and identifying tax-planning opportunities. He has been actively involved in Power and Aviation Projects in India.

Sujit has a Bachelor's degree in law from the National Law School, Bangalore.
