Yerassimos Yannopoulos

Yerassimos Yannopoulos is based in Taxand Greece where he is a partner and tax attorney with Zepos & Yannopoulos. He was admitted to the Athens Bar Association (Court of Appeals) in 1991. Yerassimos is a lecturer on international tax law for the postgraduate public law program at the University of Athens, Faculty of Law.

Yerassimos holds an LLB from the University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Law (1988), as well as a DEA (diplôme d'études approfondies) in public finance and taxation from the University of Paris 2, Faculty of Law (1990). His contributions to several publications include "Interpretation of International Tax Conventions," Public and Administrative Law Review, 1995; "Tax Treatment of Inter-company Charges within a Multinational Group of Companies," Accountant's Review, 1996; "Tax Treatment of Emerging Financial Instruments," Accountant's Review, 1996; "Contradictions in Greek Tax Legislation Regarding Silent Partnerships," Company Law Survey, 1996; and "Taxation of Principal and Accessory Contracts," Athens Bar Law Review (Nomiko Vima), 1997. Yerassimos is also co-author of the section on Greece in the "International Guide to Mergers and Acquisitions" published by the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation.

Yerassimos is a member of the International Bar Association (Tax Committee) and the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, and is an executive committee member with the International Fiscal Association. He speaks Greek, English and French.
