John McClure is based in Taxand Canada where he is a partner of Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP in the firm’s Calgary office. His practice is restricted to tax matters with an emphasis on mergers, acquisitions and reorganisations of both private and public corporations. John received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta (1984) and is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law (1987). John has written numerous articles on tax matters and has taught taxation law at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law, and the Law Society of Alberta’s Bar Admission Course. John is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
