Eric Picavet* is a partner of the Belgian Taxand team. Eric specialises in international estate planning for wealthy individuals. He has established a reputation of a team co-ordinator who adopts a commercial approach. Eric graduated as a lawyer from the University of Brussels (1972) and began specialising in commercial law. He joined the tax law firm Loyens & Volkmaars (now Loyens & Loeff) in 1974 and became partner in 1985. He joined AB Taxand BVBA as a partner in 2006, after establishing a successful new tax advisory firm in 2003 in Antwerp. Over the course of his lengthy career, Eric has been involved in the set-up of international structures for major clients for inbound and outbound investments, and he has provided advice on the full array of corporate tax activities.
