Matías Olivero Vila is based in Taxand Argentina where he is a partner with Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi (BFM&L). Matías joined the firm in 1993 and is now the partner in charge of BFM&L's tax practice.

Matías is a member of the Tax Committee of the Chamber of Corporations, where he also served as committee co-ordinator in 2006. He is vice-president (since 2006) of the Tax Committee of the Argentine Industrial Association, and a member of the Argentine Fiscal Association and the International Fiscal Association.

Matías has lectured at conferences and seminars for universities and for fiscal and professional associations, including the Universidad di Tella, Universidad Católica Argentina, Argentine Fiscal Association, Chamber of Corporations, Argentine Bank Association, National Securities Commission, Instituto para el Desarrollo Empresarial de la Argentina, and Unión Industrial Argentina.

Matías holds a JD (Juris Doctor) degree from the Universidad Católica Argentina (1991). He also has a degree as public accountant from the same university (1995), and a third degree from the International Tax Program at Harvard University (2000).

Matías has earned numerous distinctions: in September 2003, Latin Lawyer included him among "Latin America's Top Tax Lawyers," and for three consecutive years (2004, 2005 and 2006) he was rated among both the "Argentine Tax Leading Individuals" and the "Specialists in Capital Markets and Financial Products" by the International Tax Review. He was also rated one of the 30 best local lawyers under age 40 by Apertura, an Argentine business magazine. Chambers & Partners includes him among the "ranked lawyers" (2nd Tier) in the tax area, and Infobae Professional rates him seventh among the best local lawyers under age 45.
