Matias Olivero Vila
Matias Olivero Vila is based in Taxand Argentina where he is a partner with Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi (BFM&L). Mr Olivero Vila joined the firm in 1993 and, since then, he has specialised in tax law of which he has given and attended several courses and seminars as well as legally advising most of the firm's clients.
Matias has been in charge of the Tax department since 1998 and was appointed as partner in 2003. He has provided tax counsel in local and international deals, and has been involved with different clients of the firm in capital markets, project finance, M&A, general finance and general corporate advice activities.
Mr Olivero Vila is a member of the Tax Politics department of the Argentine Industrial Association (UIA), and held the position of Vicepresident from 2006 to 2013. He has been a member of the Honorary Consultive Counsel on Fiscal matters of the Chamber of Corporations since 2003, having been co-coordinator of such counsel in 2006.
Furthermore, Matias is an active member of the Argentine Fiscal Association and the International Fiscal Association, and member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
He has been invited to lecture in seminars and conferences by several entities, such as the OECD, International Bar Association, the Argentine Industrial Association (UIA), the Argentine Banking Association (ABA), the Argentine Business Development Institute (IDEA), the Chamber of Corporations, the Economic Science Professional Board and the Argentine Fiscal Association.
Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 have recognised him for several consecutive years as one of the leading lawyers in his field of practice in the Argentine legal sector.
He has attended seminars and programs on negotiation (Harvard 2000) and several seminars on communication, leadership, rhetoric and public speaking (Dale Carnegie). He has received a certificate on professional ontological coaching in 2016 issued by the CEOP (AACOP).
Mr Olivero Vila received a law degree from the Argentine Catholic University Law School in 1991. In 1995 he graduated from the Argentine Catholic University Accounting School as public accountant. He completed the International Tax Program (1999-2000) of Harvard University. He is a professional ontological coach.
