Alex focuses on VAT and other indirect taxes, including insurance premium tax, stamp duty and customs duties. He has extensive experience in advising on the indirect tax treatment of a broad range of crossborder and local transactions carried out by multinational companies in the course of their business. He regularly advises international and domestic clients on the indirect tax aspects of corporate reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions. He supports clients on VAT and other indirect tax issues raised in the context of tax audits and VAT refunds and litigates before administrative courts on assessments of VAT and other indirect taxes and rejections of VAT refund claims by the tax authorities. He advises on issues related to the VAT registration of foreign companies performing taxable transactions in Greece.
Alex advises multinational clients across most industries, including financial and insurance services, real estate, public procurement, energy, IT, aviation, travel, retail and direct sales.
