Tyler Horton is based in Taxand USA where he is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, LLC. Tyler advises public and closely held business clients, primarily in the real estate industry. His experience includes planning for complex transactions and providing a full range of tax services that encompass initial planning through implementation and the preparation of the related tax returns.

For eight years, Tyler has worked with real estate companies in all phases of their operations advising on both economic and income tax consequences of potential transactions. He has consulted with his clients on the structuring of transactions related to the acquisition and disposition of operating companies as well as major portfolios of real estate assets.  Recently, Tyler has been involved in planning for several large mixed-use development projects in the DC metro area including several championship golf course communities.

Prior to joining the USA Taxand practice, Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, LLC, Tyler spent six years with Arthur Andersen in the Washington, D.C. Real Estate and Financial Services group and a boutique real estate tax consulting firm, where he served as a manager. 

Tyler earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from The College of William and Mary, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Virginia.
